Product Description

Diets rich in magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, quercetin, and omega-3 fatty acids can have a positive impact on lung health and reduce the severity of asthma symptoms. Try including the following in your diet:
  • Vitamin C has shown to improve bronchial functioning as well as to prevent histamine-induced broncho-constriction. It may also reduce lung sensitivity to biochemical agents that cause air passages to constrict. Food sources include kiwi fruit, potatoes, red bell peppers, red cabbage, tangerines, oranges, strawberries.
  • Vitamin B6 may help in relieving the frequency and intensity of asthma attacks. It may possibly decrease wheezing and other asthma symptoms. Include in your diet: mangoes, sweet potatoes, sunflower seeds, barley, chick-peas, tuna, salmon, pork, potatoes, turkey, chicken, brown rice, avocados, bananas.
  • Magnesium, according to some studies, exerts direct action on bronchial smooth muscle, producing airway dilatation, and may stimulate breathing improvement asthma sufferers. Food sources include: spinach, avocados, quinoa, amaranth, sunflower seeds, barley, almonds, buckwheat, brazil nuts, oysters, chocolate, pumpkin seeds.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation which makes them helpful in reducing bronchial swelling. Include in your diet: salmon, tuna, trout.
  • Quercetin's antioxidant properties help neutralize the damaging, asthma-aggravating effects of pollution. Food sources include: white grapefruit, onions, garlic, spinach, pears, apples, grapes, kale, cranberries, green cabbage.
